Dear Evelyn-Evelyn,A song can be a whole family.As you may know, recently a trunk was salvaged from the tippemost, toppytop of your father's family home. The trunk held items of great, little or no importance at all. One of these items was a dented can wrapped in a silk scarf made brittle with time. The scarf puffed and poofed into fine silt when it was untied. Inside the can was a card that said only, "To my dreamlettes," in a calligraphic scrawl. With the card was a clip of your mothers (our sisters, Annabel-Annabel). And also with the card was this film, this echo, this decaying witness to motherly tenderness, this lullaby and nocturne.Your mothers would be so thrilled to know that you are still performing the song they so dearly loved singing to you.
