Our destination is lovely Leopold Lake and environs in the Emigrant Wilderness. I know, Emigrant, not again! The price of diesel was so high that we didn't want to go to the southern Sierra like we'd planned. Next year -- IF the world hasn't been destroyed.But it was a splendid trip, with the weather cooperating and no people encountered. We managed to get out the day after opening day of deer hunting season without getting shot. I saw loads of beautiful, fat deer on my day hikes and told them all to get the hell out of dodge, which they no doubt did! Recommended viewing in High Quality and with headphones.
