Nov 19, 2008 - I remember how this game used to piss both me and my dad off. We had 2 joysticks one controled flight the other controled fire... needless to say it was fun.

Fall3nAngelz Says:

Nov 19, 2008 - One of the best videogame endings EVER. Too bad D3 totally ran this series into the ground. Excellent selection Garudoh! They don't really make OSTs like this anymore, although they certainly try...

pyramidhead138 Says:

Nov 19, 2008 - the song at 4:40 is kinda screwy

Nov 19, 2008 - Never got to play D3, but apparently I didn't miss much there huh? Making this video, it did occur to me that I'd totally give Descent another shot if it was revived somehow. If it looked like BioShock, but played like Descent, I think I would so dig that game. With C&C, Descent and Quake released in a short amount of time, it's weird how industrial music totally took over PC OST's for a brief while. As a fan of stuff like Nine Inch Nails and Fear Factory back then, I was in heaven.

Nov 19, 2008 - Too bad Descent IV got cancelled.I wager Saul Bottcher's tracks would've done it justice.

Nov 19, 2008 - This game made me motion sick when i played it xD you didnt know what was up or down after a whiles playing xD

DeBurgo Says:

Nov 19, 2008 - D3 isn't bad it just was just more conservative than it needed to be.IMHO the biggest mistake it made was its poor implementation of mouselook. The argument was that you couldn't ever do mouselook properly in a descent game, because a responsive mouselook would break the game. So the community was split between mouse users and joystick users. However, there was a descent clone that was made prior to Descent III called Forsaken, which nailed mouselook in a way that would've satisfied everyone.

pyramidhead138 Says:

Nov 19, 2008 - id say the biggest disadvantage to this game is that its too easy to get lost

GypsyRed Says:

Nov 19, 2008 - I've could never play this game 'cause I suffer from motion sickness... but the music is ass-kickingly good. I dare even say BRUTAL.

XmegaPresident Says:

Nov 19, 2008 - I still have my Pentium 233MHz / MMX 64MB RAM I can play this game under Windows 95 /w Soundblaster AWE 32 at 640x480 256 colors at 70fps. I also have a 486DX2 66MHz so I can play the original Descent under DOS 6.22.

Spazzer Says:

Nov 19, 2008 - Missing Cold Reality, the best track in the game. Kinda long, though. Definitely one of the best video game soundtracks ever made.

LilKnowitall Says:

Nov 19, 2008 - why did it really matter??....u need to forget up and down while playing this, just fly around, and adjust ONLY when necessary ^_^

snus666 Says:

Nov 19, 2008 - Haha true but hard to play a game when your close to vomit xD

James100111100 Says:
