This is going just fine, I reassure myself. But inside, my heart is pounding and I am insanely nervous, even though the show is almost over. I've never had so many people looking at just my artwork before. I hope they like it."You are doing great, I promise." I hear someone behind me say. I spin around and smile. Thomas. My other best friend. When I first came to London, he helped me survive. I give him a big hug and a kiss on the cheek."Hey I'm so glad you could make it!" I say."Of course! I wouldn't miss it for the world. This is amazing"I smile and blush. "Thanks. But are you sure people like it?" I ask."Trust me, the do. So calm down!" he says with a smile and lifts my hand and shows me the promise ring. I have never told Thomas the story about me and Nick, all he knows is that for some reason, looking at the ring helps my nerved subside. I smile gratefully. I really don't know what I would do without Thomas."Thanks" I tell him, and he saunters off to go mingle with other people.I look down at the ring again and sigh, letting myself relax. I only wish that he could be here to see all this.~After show~Wow. That went amazingly well. I honestly couldn't be happier with the way things turned out. I think people actually liked my work and I hoping that this may be my big break. I can't seem to get rid of my smile while I am cleaning up. But suddenly a song comes on the radio station I am listening to that catches my attention. I could recognize that sweet, talented voice anywhere. I close my eyes and listen. "Nothing, I'm just happy with how things went tonight." I lie and Thomas can tell."Um, ok. Oh by the way, some guy dropped this off earlier and said that you should use it in your show tonight." He says.I give him a confused look. "Who?" I ask.He shrugs his shoulders and hands me a piece of paper. My mouth and my heart both drop to the floor when I see what is in my hands. I flip it over to see if it really is it."For the love of my life,So that you know I am forever grateful and forever heartbroken from the choice you made. I will never forget you. I will eternally belong to you." I read the inscription out loud. Thomas is confused but I don't care. A few more tears escape from my eyes."Did he leave?" I ask Thomas.He nods. "Just like a few minutes ago. I saw him for a while here looking around too."He was here? How could I not notice him? Is it too late, can I still catch him? Questions flood my mind and I don't know what to do. So I thank Thomas, grab my coat, and run out the door as quickly as I can.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Bam!! I am very mean so I am going to stop there! Please don't hate me :P lol anyway will she be able to catch Nick? Will they finally get to see each other? Why didn't Nick stay and say hi??
